Kimura’s new album ‘Çircle The Prey’ is HUGE! Boasting 13 tracks of pure melodic aggression doused in groove, thrashiness and hate, this album is an outstanding improvement from previous releases and easily sits up there as their best. 

  

Each track is firmly stuffed with a barrage of killer, memorable and very well played riffs, the solid and precise drumming keeps everything stomping along perfectly, and the vocal delivery is first rate showcasing a broad range of hostile styles, all making for one hell of an angry and ferocious offering. You get the feeling a huge amount of thought has been put into every aspect of this album, the riffs, the songwriting, the time changes and dynamics, the vocal lines, drum patterns and all blended together with an impressive and clear production that will, unless you’re a non metal muppet, no doubt get your fist pumping and your head banging. 

  

It’s difficult to pick the top tracks on this album as I genuinely think each track is a strong as the next. But given Kimura delivered videos for the tracks Sharpen The Bones, Hangman and another one to come for Hell Is Coming, these could be your picks to wrap your ears around first. 

  

If metal in the vein of Lamb Of God, Machine Head, Trivium, Chimaira, Pantera and anything else with a hefty slab of groove and aggression is right up your alley, then you should 100% get yourself all over this release!
