Werewolves see, Werewolves do. If you are a Werewolves fan by now, you should know what to expect. If you are not, jump aboard if you dare.
"From The Cave To The Grave" is the 3rd bombardment discharged from this angry pack in as many years, not to mention the EP "Death Metal" they pinched out early this year.
And a formula seems to be apparent. They don't like writing more than 9 songs and they don't like the albums clocking in at more than 35 mins.
Actually they don't seem to like much at all apart from decimating the heeder with a torrential downpour of loathing and hostility.
Album opener 'Self-Help Book-Burning' blasts straight out the gate at a scarily frantic pace, suitably followed by 'We Are Better Than You' and the whirlwind continue on from there.
Half way through there is some respite with the bpm's turned down on 'Harvest Of Skulls', and a brooding black metal aura sweeps in, but it doesnt last long, 4 mins later, the furious chest beating returns with 'Oedipus Tyrannus' and the rest of the album demolishes.
Shaped from straight up death metal, shades of black metal and doused with a side of technicality, Werewolves is for animals out there who like their metal extreme, fast, raw and tightly executed.
On par with previous releases and the perfect album to play at the workplace if you don't want anyone talking to you.
